What is RSS?

How can I make use of RSS?
In general you need to get hold of a program called a News Reader. This displays RSS information feeds from your chosen websites on your computer.

All you then have to do is choose which RSS feeds you want for from different websites.

How do I get a News Reader?
There are a range of different News Readers available.  News Readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice.

Several free newsfeed readers are available including:

Internet Explorer 7 has a basic built-in reader - for the PC
Snarfer - possibly the best FREE newsreader for the PC - handles everything
Feed Demon - a free trial for the PC - eventually you have to pay, but this one has all the bells and whistles
Pluck - another free trial for the PC
