As IT specialists with qualifications in technology management and decades of experience, colleagues and I once measured that if we had to use all the productivity apps that were foisted on us by management, we wouldn’t have time to do any real work.
I agree about Microsoft. It appears that they have never heard of Pareto, the 80/20 rule? We can do the bulk of our work with a few features. We don’t need the full, expensive software. Nor do we need the updates that block us from working during the busy part of the day.
